  • Abstract:
    This paper presents an investigative study focussing on value management (VM) methodology and techniques used currently in the UK, USA and Japan. The study examines the theory and practical use of VM between the three countries. The work reveals that although they adopt different terms, team structures, timing to use VM and techniques, VM processes proposed by all organisations have very similar approaches. The report also finds different approaches to function analysis, which is the heart of VM procedure, between the three countries
